Mercedes SLS AMG Gullwing - Desert Gold
So the first special edition of the Mercedes SLS AMG goes to Dubai, UAE where the market for such cars is huge! Mercedes-Benz decided to show off a special SLS AMG Gullwing with the designation “Desert Gold” with a matt gold color at the bi-annual Dubai Motor Show that runs from December 15 to 20.
The Desert Gold features an attention-grabbing exterior with a matt gold paint scheme, gloss black accents, and black AMG wheels which measure 9.5 x 19 at the front and 11.0 x 20 at the rear. Inside, the car boasts sports seats, a solid carbon-fiber center console, and various other carbon fiber accents.

Like the standard SLS AMG, the Desert Gold is powered by a 6.3-liter (6208cc) V8 engine that produces 563 hp and 650 Nm of torque. It enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 317 km/h (197 mph).
The Stuttgart automaker noted that while the AMG Desert Gold treatment has been used only for the display vehicle at the Dubai show, if there’s enough interest generated, the special gold paint finish could become available as an individual optional extra from the AMG Performance Studio. But, considering the Dubai folk’s love for luxurious cars, this golden Mercedes is sure to find a number of admirers as well as buyers.
