Bell & Ross Vintage Collection Timepiece
Bell & Ross unveiled two vintage-inspired watches in its Heritage collection at Baselworld this year (Vintage Heritage BR 123 Carbon and Heritage BR 126 Carbon chronograph watches), and the brand has now followed up these releases with a four more vintage-inspired pieces along the same design lines. The collection comprises of two lines, the Vintage Original Line and the Vintage Heritage Line.
The stunning Vintage Collection pays tribute to the soaring dare devils who took the skies in the 1940’s and were the first professionals to use the wristwatch as a tool on their missions. A blend of classic design and modern technology, these timepieces are truly a class apart. Every line in the Vintage Collection is unique but all watches share the same inspiration, shape and movements.
The traditional shape of the round case is reminiscent of wristwatches of yesteryear while its ergonomics provide the comfort modern day wearers have come to expect. The domed crystal recalls the crystals of the time period. Unlike the original 1940’s wristwatches, it is produced using extremely strong sapphire thanks to improved manufacturing techniques. The refined dial graphics optimize readability, taking their inspiration from cockpit instruments.
The Vintage original Line features modern version of the 1940’s wristwatches. The case is satin-finish steel while each of the two dials (black with matte leather strap and beige with brown leather strap) colors evokes the style of the era. The timepieces in this line are powered by Swiss made ETA calibers 2895 (for BR 123) and 2894 (for BR 126) movements. Their case measures 41mm and they are water resistant up to 100 meters.
The Vintage Heritage Line too evokes the 1940’s era by combining the authenticity of period watches with the standard of readability represented by an aircraft instrument panel. The timepiece is available in two versions – with black dial or beige dial. Movements are Swiss made ETA calibers 2895 (for BR 123) and 2894 (for BR 126). Water resistant up to 100 meters, the case of these timepieces measures 41mm.
