Ulysse Nardin Chairman Phone Ulysse Nardin Chairman Phone A fully operational model of the most expensive Android smartphone, Ulysse Nardin Chairman, will make its debut by the Scientific Cellular Innovations (SCI) BaselWorld this year. This is the first time that the $50,000 cell phone will be unveiled in its full operational form, including its signature Ulysse Nardin mechanical watch rotor that creates kinetic energy to supply supplemental power to the phone. What makes this phone special is that you can change the screen to the face of your Ulysse Nardin watch. The phone will be GSM and 3G compatible and will feature 32GB memory, a 3.2’’ touch-screen with thumb print recognition and an 8 megapixel camera. Baselworld will take place from March 24 to March 31, 2001. Soon after, The Chairman will be available for purchase in Russia, the United States and parts of Europe. Aside from the hardware and design of the Ulysse Nardin Chairman, there is a significant area where the phone’s status as a luxury item is solidified – this is in the area of service and support. Ulysse Nardin offers a special program that costs 10% of what the phone’s original price was, each year. Members of the program send their Chairman phones in twice of year (of course they get a loaner) where the service center will not only polish and clean the phone, but they will also upgrade the phone’s software and hardware if necessary, and the service is like an insurance plan as well – lose the phone and they will replace it for you.
