Italian fashion brand Giorgio Armani is ramping up digitally with the launch of its first international online store, Armani.com. Realizing the potential of WEB, this new website houses five of the global luxury brands allowing customers to acquire clothing and accessories for men and women from the Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, Armani Collezioni, Armani Jeans and Armani Junior lines.
Operated by retailer Yoox Group, the online flagship will be available in 30 European countries, the United States and Japan, and in four languages: Italian, English, French and Japanese. And naturally the site will offer optimum access to iPhone, iPad and Android users.
Furthermore, Armani.com will include editorial content that will be renewed on a weekly basis, always with a new cover story, to keep visitors up to date with the world of Armani. The launch of the site will feature an exclusive video of Rihanna, the new face of the Emporio Armani underwear and Armani Jeans autumn/winter 2011/12 advertising campaigns.
The Armani site follows a trend of designer flagships opening on the Web, where brands can have direct control over the presentation of multiple categories, choose the products sold without having to rely on store buyers as mediators, and produce editorial content.
