Bang & Olufsen First Smart TV – BeoVision 11

Bang & Olufsen has launched its first smart TV, the BeoVision 11 – very stylish and very expensive, as expected from Bang & Olufsen! The Full HD 1080p screens come in 40, 46 and 55-inch sizes, offering viewers access to the Web courtesy of a browser that can be navigated via remote, iPad or Android tablet. Also, you can use apps such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube on your smart TV.
There’s DLNA enabled for media streaming, as well as connectivity for WiFi, an ethernet cable port, Ethernet, six HDMI sockets and two USB ports, not to mention space for your Apple TV box in the cabinet.  In Europe, the BeoVision 11 will support the HbbTV standard, for EPGs, catch-up TV, interactive advertising, personalisation, voting, gaming, and social networking, though exactly what services will be offered will depend on the broadcasters themselves. Described as their “most ambitious TV to date”, the BeoVision 11 has an unusual square-shaped design, which allows it to house six separate speakers (each with a 32W digital amp.) in a row across its bottom edge. It should deliver an audio experience above and beyond the usual tinny flatscreen offerings. You can choose between wide range of colors of speaker grill fabric, depending on your home décor, as well as from a new motorized wall-mount that can be adjusted from the remote (allowing BeoVision 11 at up to 90-degrees in either direction), or there’s a motorized floor stand, a manual wall-mount, or an easel stand. As we already mentioned Bang & Olufsen Smart TV BeoVision is expensive, the 40-inch model will cost you €5,995 ($7,748).
