Catamarans are boats which by design provide a lot of comfort and usable space. On them can be organized space much easier than on a single hull vessels. So far, the various materials were used in the construction of these vessels, but never carbon fiber. That is going to be changed when Polish shipyard Sunreef launch, what it claims is, the world’s first carbon-fiber sailing yacht, the Sunreef 80 Levante.
Sunreef 80 Levante is made of a composite sandwich construction that combines vinylester, PVC foam, fiberglass and carbon fiber. This lightweight construction allows it to reach a comfortable cruise of 15 knots and top speeds in excess of 20 knots. Inside, as we mentioned, there are lot of space, and the catamaran has a master suite on the main deck alongside the salon with helm station, dining area and lounge. You’ll also find two guest cabins, guest berth, two crew’s quarters and a full galley. The Sunreef 80 Levante is set to debut at the Cannes International Boat Show in the South of France this September.
