An international lifestyle men’s brand, John Varvatos is launching new fragrance for men named Artisan Acqua. It is the fifth Varvatos scent and the third in his Artisan pillar. The designer’s first signature fragrance bowed in March 2004, followed by Vintage in August 2006, Artisan in March 2009 and Artisan Black in April 2010. “From the start, we’ve always tried to go back to making fragrances the way they used to be made—all by hand, with the best ingredients in the world, artisanal fragrances with smaller batches.”
Developed by perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux, new fragrance include top notes of Paradisamide, Mandarin Orange, Pomelo, Angelica, Galbanum, Mastic (Lentisque), middle notes of Toscanol, Lemongrass, Geranium, Jasmine, Lavender, Basil, Clary Sage, Coriander and base notes of Fir, Oakmoss, Patchouli.
The bottle itself is a design by Jon Cisler Design. Artisan Acqua will be available in two versions of a flacon: 75ml EDT and 125ml EDT. Each of them is cover by hand knit rope. It will appear in stores in the United States from January 2014, before rolling out in Europe and Asia later in the year.
