A Bel-Air house built in the 1930s that has been home to Betty Grable and many other celebrity owners over the years has come on the market at $13.29 million. According to The Wall Street Journal, Grable resided there until the early 1940s. Current owner Schuyler Moore told the publication that he purchased it in 2011 for $7.05 million. The country English-style brick house sits on nearly an acre, measures about 8,500 square feet, and has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Moore made several changes to the estate – adding a deck, a swimming pool, a basketball court, a gym, a wine cellar, a putting green and renovating the children’s playhouse.
He also added waterfall features, sound systems, and what he calls “a full-blown man cave,” where he has a motorcycle on display. Several others are stored in the property’s three-car garage.
Beside Betty Grable, musician Stephen Stills, actress Jacqueline Smith, motor company founder John DeLorean and former entertainment executive Anthony Thomopoulous and his wife, actress-talk show host Cristina Ferrare, all they have called the gated residence home.
