Kenneth Cole launches a new men’s fragrance called Mankind that have resulted from the new partnership with Parlux. The fragrance is advertised with cheeky slogans such as “Join the Evolution “and “Your ape will either grow more hunchbacked or erect”.
The fragrance, a bold aromatic scent, was created by Claude Dir, Perfumer at Givaudan and Parlux Ltd. as aromatic – woody. Fresh aromatic elements of cardamom, tarragon leaf, ginger and pineapple lead to masculine elements of cedar, vetiver and cinnamon that provide warm sensuality. Then comes the base of sandalwood, oak moss, tonka bean and skin musk.
“The Mankind fragrance and concept is designed for the guy who knows what he wants and expresses it daily through his actions, style and overall essence,” said Kenneth Cole. “This man is performance driven yet understands the importance of achieving balance in his life, whether in his career, relationships or community.”
To promote his fragrance, Cole uses Google Glass app – “Man Up for Mankind Challenge,” by challenging men to perform a different gentlemanly deed each day for three weeks. People who complete the deeds, which include “bring donuts to work for everyone” and “offer to carry a lady’s bag,” are eligible to win a Mankind toolkit valued at $1,000.
