The candidate for the Oval Office in 2016, real estate mogul Donald Trump sold his lavish New York City penthouse for $21,383,250 to the founder of the Fresh Market.
The developer and television star was the first and only owner of the incredible 6,200-square-foot home was located on the 24th floor of the 32-story Trump Park Tower, but never resided there, according to real estate listing agent Michelle Griffith.
This elegant abode includes five spacious bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms. It also features fine craftsmanship throughout, custom moldings, and marble floors.
Before Mr. Trump completed the sale there was an offer to rent the apartment for more than $80,000 a month, Ms. Griffith said. And the unit was priced at $35 million in 2013, but Ray D. Berry, the founder and chairman of the Fresh Market purchased it at a significant discount from the most recent asking price of $24.995 million.
Ivanka Trump, Mr. Trump’s daughter and executive vice president of development and acquisitions of the Trump Organization, confirmed the sale.
