Those who have heard of Yakuza, the notorious criminal group from Japan, they know for their famous tattoos. Their tattoos are Japanese culture, and many contain koi fish and cherry tree blossoms. The architect, Vincent Coste, a leading designer in the southern part of France, was inspired by their tattoos and has completed the interior design of restaurant Koï, a Japanese restaurant in Aix-en-Provence, France.

Graphically created by surface pattern designer Claire Leina, Imaginative and bold, monochromatic scheme decorated with gold, give this restaurant a modern, and powerful appearance.

What really contributes to look of the restaurant are red chair made of steel. Their metallic look fits perfectly with concrete work surfaces, monochrome interiors and floors of pale wood. Also, part of this restaurant is a terrace, while the burgundy version of this motif tattoos is in the toilet.
