The company from California, Moto Art, has converted the casing of a Boeing 747 engine into comfortable king-size bed.
Known by most people as the “Jumbo Jet,” The Boeing 747 is one of the world’s most recognizable aircraft. Guys from Moto Art used this one of the largest aircraft in the world as inspiration for wide range of home accessories fashioned from parts of planes. MotoArt Jumbo 747 Sleeper is one of them.
The bed is actually a king size mattress set between two halves of one of the plane’s nacelle to form the rounded foot and headboard. Connected with a custom fabricated aluminum I-beam frame, the complete circumference of the bed is lit from below with programmable LED units. The highly polished cowlings are cut & banded for ease of handling and installation. This sleek bed with red lighting can be yours for $20,000.
MotoArt have a large range of similar items, including desks made out of wing flaps, benches made of out fuselage and bookshelves made out of rudders from planes used in the Korean War.
