The five-star, five-diamond Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs has debuted an all-inclusive mountain getaway for Christmas to celebrate its centennial in 2018.
Sitting at 3,000 feet above the Resort is The Broadmoor’s highest Wilderness Experience, Cloud Camp. With unobstructed 360 degree views that showcase the incomparable splendor of Pikes Peak, this authentic Colorado escape is located on the historic site of Broadmoor founder Spencer Penrose’s Cheyenne Lodge.
Broadmoor founder Spencer Penrose built the road that leads to the top of Cheyenne Mountain as well as the camp’s original lodge. Influenced by the historic timber and stone lodges of the American West, Cloud Camp’s 8,500-square-foot main lodge is built on the same site as the original building, and features hand-hewn beams and indigenous stone fireplaces. Its walls are adorned in authentic memorabilia and epic Western-themed paintings.

Its great room and bar area serve as the backdrop for relaxed yet inspired gatherings, and the long dining room table perfect for large gatherings. The lodge also boasts an expansive wrap-around deck where guests can gaze over the natural splendor of the forest and maybe even spot a rainbow lingering over the horizon.
While a guest at Cloud Camp, spend the day exploring the Pike National Forest on numerous hiking trails or with guided nature walks. In the evenings, gather around a camp fire and roast s’mores while recounting stories of the day’s adventures under the star-filled sky.
Christmas at Cloud Camp is a three or four night package, priced at $50,000. This will include the entire main lodge, which is seven bedrooms. It is exclusive for one family or group of friends, you will not have any other guests. Cloud Camp is all inclusive, so all meals, beverages, and alcohol are included. There is an upgraded bar menu available for an additional cost. All activities such as cooking club, and seasonal offerings will be a part of this package and available as you see your time at Cloud Camp best spent.
Also new to the Broadmoor this holiday season is the Estate House. The five-bedroom, 12,000-square-foot mansion dates back to the 1920s and features a swoon-worthy interior. Original woodwork, art, a library, a grand parlor, and a dining room that seats up to 16 round out just a few highlights of the recently refreshed property. Pricing for this experience begins at $5,500 per night.
