The legendary Orkney distillery came out with the 18 year old whisky – Highland Park Full Volume. It was distilled in 1999, bottled at 47,2% and is actually a substitute for Highland Park 15 Year Old.
The new bottle is all about “balance between flavors and textures of whisky all living in harmony.” Beside aged in ex-bourbon casks that tries to capture the spirit of rock and roll for full 18 years, this expression is one of the Highland Park’s best single malts ever created.

Full Volume contains no artificial coloring and if talking about notes, there’s vanilla, mango and a bit of cedar spice on the nose, and similar flavors once you taste it. But despite the American oak and bourbon influence, this whisky still trends in the heathery, herbal direction that is Highland Park’s signature. It’s a backbone for the flavor, which also shows citrus notes and a hint of smoke. The finish is like smoked vanilla, with a dry touch of oak spice.
Overall, Full Volume is an amazing single malt with an average price of $100 which is a great price for an 18-year-old Highland Park.
