Berlin Boombox – Cool Soundsystem Made from Cardboard

Berlin based DJ, designer and illustrator Axel Pfaender has combined his passion for music and design to come up with this cool soundsystem made from cardboard. The Berlin Boombox is the most eco-friendly speaker on the block. Bringing together the classic boombox style with today’s audio technology, Pfaender created this unique gadget made from recycled cardboard and very energy-efficient.

The Berlin Boombox

Inspired by 1980s “ghettoblasters,” the Berlin Boombox features screen-printed black and white graphics. It features a strong carrying handle and a beautiful aluminum knob for power and volume control. Easy handling, sustainable materials, an amazing sound are the main points of this cool powered stereo speaker.

The Berlin Boombox

The Berlin Boombox is compatible with every smartphone and mp3 player, because it connects to your device’s headphone jack. You can also connect your laptop, computer, tablet, phablet, gaming console, turntable or even your vintage gameboy.

The Berlin Boombox started as a Kickstarter project, raising $20.000 in 30 days from more than 350 backers.

Because you love music, not plastic waste.
