BIC Cristal celebrates 60th anniversary this month and to commemorate this designer Annette Carey has created an extraordinary garment. She has created a mesmerizing dress using crystals, and of course pens as a base. 2000 Swarovski crystals and 1200 pens were used to design this dress. The dress took 640 hours to make.
Weighing a staggering 81 pounds this dress is a visual stunner. Annette says that is meant to be completely wearable and would be ideal for someone such as a size 10 pop star Lady Gaga. Annete was able to make something beautiful from a very ordinary thing which is commendable.
This unique and amazing dress still waiting for the buyer. It’s still on display at Inkspiration: Story of BIC Cristal exhibition in West London.
