Many companies are deciding to market the product through social network. It’s practical because there are many people in one place and informations are spread easily. Trying to attract customers, German car-maker BMW is using Facebook to create a Special Edition 1-Series Car.

The new 1-Series special edition will be designed by young BMW designers, and then BMW fans on Facebook will decide about  final look. Fans will be offered 16 combinations to choose from on their Facebook page, and the winner will make it to production with the help of 3M wrap specialists who will don the special design on the car. As for the more mechanical aspect of the Beamer, the special edition 1-series will receive the same two 4-cylinder diesel engines with 122 or 143 HP, as well as a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine with 230 HP option. The 135i model has a twin-scroll turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine that delivers a total of 300 HP and 300 lbs-ft of torque.

Great is that BMW has confidence in his fans, but  is stupid because the special edition 1-series will only be available on the Italian market. What`s wrong with rest who are not Italian? [Facebook]
