BMW R nineT In A New Edition

BMW R nineT

Every mechanic will tell you: if you want to customize an old motorcycle, first enable it to work, and then beautify it. But if you work with a modern classic like BMW R nineT, you can skip the first step.
R nineT is still young, so there is no need to worry about aggregates, and as there is good suspension and brakes in the factory package, further improvements in this plan are a matter of choice.

However, there is necessarily evil of modern machines – electronics. Enough wires are needed for modern motorcycles to work, and there are even more demanding Euro 4 standards. It will take a lot of effort and patience to displace them, which was discovered in the workshop “Jane Motorcycles” while working on this Bavarian from 2015.
The hardest job was where the results can’t be seen with the naked eye. Firstly, the airbox was removed, and then started moving the electric components into a new, specially made “shelf” inside the factory fuel tank.

Most of the work in this part was switches, especially since BMW uses a motherboard for all switches mounted on the handlebars, and exactly this part required a lot of skills.
The motorcycle has got the Motogadget Motoscope Pro instrument panel, which perfectly matches with BMW’s and supports all factory functions. Ignition is also replaced by the Motogadget RFID system.
The motorcycle itself is “clean”, and the frame is chrome-plated during the work. The valve covers are adapted to the appearance, with a new, custom-made, seat, shortened sub-frame and a new Prism rear light. The only component that is still under the seat is the Ballistic lithium-ion battery, located in a specially built case.

Forward is Baja Designs Squadron Pro LED headlamp, K & N filters and Akrapovich exhaust system. As far as control is concerned, there are Rizoma controls, along with Magura main cylinders, Domino gas and Renthal handles. It is worth mentioning the 17-inch Kineo wheels with distinctive and unique design, “squeezed” into the Continental TKC80 tires.
