There are only 358 bottles of Louis the XIII Black Pearl in the world. No wonder it’s very hard to come by, especially in restaurants. Cafe Nuovo restaurant in Rhode Island has the honor and privilege to serve Louis XIII Black Pearl worth $40,000. Presented in an exclusive hand-blown Baccarat black crystal offering, the bottle is certified as No. 181.
This more than 100 year old wine is a collection of around 1,200 different brandies blended together in one single barrel and with plenty of palatable possibilities. The blending was done in 1960 and in 2007, out of that one and only oak barrel came a total of 358 bottles of the blend.
One shot of Black Pearl will cost you around $1,500 if you’re not able to purchase the entire bottle. Cognac connoisseurs will definitely visit Cafe Nuovo restaurant to enjoy drinking this rare spirit.
