There are various versions of chess boards and chess pieces. Lovers of most popular game that trains the brain to try to make more interesting and unique chess set. One of them is certainly the Caliber .223 chess set from Olde World Collectibles and Creations.

This striking and highly peculiar chess set is made using spent .223 bullet shell casings. One side uses steel casings and the other side uses brass casings, and further decorated with cuts, slashes, curls and bends. The steel side has red oak wooden bases and the brass side has black walnut wooden bases. Each piece is 1 ¼ to 2 ½ inches long. The kings and queens are the only four pieces with an actual bullet reset in place. It has to be noted that there is no live shell present over here.

The board is made from a solid piece of red oak and is decorated with two brass carrying handles. Each square comes individually cut, prepped and welded to the steel frame. The board measures approx. 12 x 12 x 2 inches.
