Cassina and Louis Vuitton Limited Edition Chaise Lounge Inspired by Charlotte Perriand

Cassina has collaborated with Louis Vuitton to create a limited edition LC4 Chaise Lounge to pay tribute to the 110th anniversary birth of Charlotte Perriand.This unique chaise, inspired by French design legend will be shown along side of her collection that features photography and furniture designs at Art Basel, Miami Beach 2013. The Cassina LC4 chaise lounge draws inspiration by then controversial photo of Charlotte Perriand, relaxing on one of the first models of the chaise (by Monsieur Le Corbusier) with a self-supporting mattress attached directly to the frame.

It features a mattress made of the palest pink natural saddle leather contrasted with deep brown leather at the foot and headrest, all supplied directly by Louis Vuitton tannery. The leather is attached to a metal frame that rests on top of a black support underneath.

Limited to only 1,000 pieces, LC4 Chaise will be unveiled at Art Basel Miami Beach show which runs from December 5 through December 8th.
