Raffles Makkah Palace

One of the Singapore’s top luxury hotel and resort chain, Raffles, has opened its seventh property in the Muslim holy city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The 213-room hotel is Raffles’ second property in the Middle East, following the opening of its Dubai property in 2007 and signals the chain’s determination to expand outside of its established Asian base – a property in Paris is set to open later this year.

Raffles Makkah Palace is located in the spectacular new Abraj Al Bait complex, a seven-tower community directly adjoining the Masjid Al Haram, or Grand Mosque,– and the Kaaba. The hotel, located only steps away from the Holy Mosque, is expected to reach new levels of personal service in Saudi Arabia. Hard Rock Cafe Dubai

You’ve heard of Dubai’s record breaking Burj Khalifa, the tallest free-standing structure in the world at 828 metres tall. Dubai could soon have another entry in the Guinness Book of World Records when Hard Rock Cafe installs the World’s Tallest Guitar to mark its own re-entry to a new location at Dubai Festival City (DFC).

The new 26,400-square-foot Dubai cafe will include spacious seating for more than 300 guests, a vibrant bar, a convertible live music space, a 2,500-square-foot Rock Shop featuring Hard Rock’s limited-edition merchandise and rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia from Hard Rock’s legendary collection.

Ethno Village Stanisici

At the exit from Bijeljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the third kilometer of the Pavlovic bridge is Ethno Village Stanisic. Ethno village Stanisic, beyond the current time and space, back to our ancestors and nature, and awakens in us the admiration of the simplicity of the former way of life.

The village was founded in 2003, as the result of the inspiration of its owner. More than a few years he has traveled throughout the Serbian villages of central Bosnia, in search for old houses and objects that would keep alive the image of the way of life at the end of the 19th and early 20th century.
