The Life Ball is the biggest charity fundraising event in Europe supporting people with HIV and AIDS. For this year’s event that was held in Austria on May 21, Dean and Dan Caten, the brothers behind Canadian fashion label Dsquared2 have created The Red Mudder, a special rally-inspired version of the Cooper S. They commented Our Mini Red Mudder is 100 per cent Dsquared2.
Striking exterior features include the prominent front bull bar, rally-style headlamps and mesh headlight protectors, rear side window grilles and hatch-mounted spare tyre. As black graphics blend in with the red background of the Mini Cooper S, a maple leaf adorns each door along with the number 1964. The interior of the car displays structured aluminum sheeting and new leather upholstery, replacing the factory floor mats and there’s an integrated compass.
Mini has been a partner of the Life Ball for 11 years and each year it demonstrates anew its creativity, enthusiasm and passion for this good cause. This year’s Life Ball Mini designed by Dsquared2 provides further persuasive evidence of this, said Gary Keszler, Life Ball founder and organiser.
Since 2001, over half a million euros has been generated by the Life Ball Mini models on behalf of Aids Life.
