An impressive contemporary mansion in Mississauga, Ontario once priced at $8 million goes under the hammer for half the original list price. Bidding will kick of this weekend, with a goal of selling the open-concept estate for around $5.5 million. The 9,000 square foot California style home spans three storeys with 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, a 3-car garage, rooftop deck, and gorgeous indoor swimming pool. It’s been completely renovated from top to bottom and includes a custom Italian imported “Boffi” kitchen worth $200,000.

Ritchies is handling the auction which is set for 2:00 pm on April 27, 2014.
With this kind of sale auctions only need “one day, and it’s done,” Kashif Khan, the director of auctions at Ritchies said. “They don’t want to sit and wait.”
Khan added that time is often “more important than money” for people in the luxury real estate market.
Other items being auctioned will include a $1.1 milion 78.16ct per shape fancy yellow diamond tennis necklace and a 2010 Rolls Royce Ghost.
