First came RiRi Woo for MAC, then Rihanna for River Island and now the 28-year-old star just added another business venture to her enviable portfolio. She signed a multi-million dollar deal with luxury conglomerate LVMH (Kendo division) to create her own cosmetic range, Fenty Beauty by Rihanna. The line which will launch in the fall of 2017 was reportedly signed for an estimated $10 million.
While details about the makeup line have yet to be released, Kendo’s CEO David Suliteanu says: “Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience.”
Rihanna will play a vital role in the development of the products, her brand, as well as, the longevity of their partnership. Kendo is retailed by LVMH’s Sephora perfumery chains and other stores. The company will offer Rihanna an eclectic team of creative talent to help with the process and access to global reach in distribution.
