Ferrari 308 GTB Group B With Million Dollar Price

Ferrari 308 GTB Group B

Investments in rare Ferraris are often a secure investment that yields considerable profit after several years. Especially in the case of models made in just a few copies, like this Ferrari 308 GTB Group B.
It is one of only 15 produced copies (they were produced between 1978 and 1985) that was delivered to the Pro Motorsport team in 1983. Below the cover is a 3.0 liter V8 engine of 300 horsepower. In addition to increasing power, compared to the 308 GTB roadside, this specimen is also 40 kg lighter. The model which is on sale has won as many as 5 races in 1983, as well as an additional five next seasons.

The rich race history of the model has rounded up the win in the championship of Spain in the rally.
The auction house Artcurial, which is in charge of the sale, estimated that due to its rich history this 308 GTB Group B could find a new owner for an amount of about one million euros. One auction was held last weekend as part of the Le Mans Classic event, but it is interesting that the car was not sold despite its exclusivity. Who knows, maybe the price was too high, and maybe collectors are eagerly awaiting auctions at Goodwood that just did not start …
