Company from Colorado, SkiLogik, will produce a limited run of Grateful Dead skis. Artworked by Mariella and in collaboration with Warner Music Group, each pair sold will be numbered chronographically according to order placement and personalized with up to six letters. “The partnership with SkiLogik is a natural fit for us,” says Sara Nemerov, senior vice president and head of global consumer products and brand licensing, Warner Music Group.
“We are always looking for unusually high-quality products that stand out from the pack. SkiLogik’s skis are unlike any others we’ve seen. We’re thrilled with their originality and believe Grateful Dead fans will love them.”
The Grateful Dead artwork is inlaid with natural wood and mother of pearl and are available on any of SkiLogik’s 41 models and sizes in a limited run of 420. Grateful Dead Skis cost $1,200 and you can have your initials inlaid on the tail if you desire.
“The Grateful Dead has always been a huge source of inspiration for me,” says David Mazzarella, SkiLogik’s founder and visionary ski designer. “I’ve seen them perform many times and, like Dead shows, no two pairs of our skis are exactly the same. This is an opportunity for us to use our creativity to honor theirs.”
