A pink mother-of-pearl twinkles with flecks of 24K gold, each inlaid one by one in tiny individually carved hollows, creating a magnificent pink and gold constellation. Delicately affixed to this luminous backdrop is an 18K gold carved monkey with a diamond for an eye.

In a profile carved from yellow gold appliqué with marquise-cut openwork, the dimensions appear fleshed out and the creature seems to come to life. The subtle cutouts evoke Jianzhi, or paper cutting, a prized art form used since the dawn of time to convey traditional Chinese wishes of prosperity and a long life.
The Premier Monkey Automatic 36mm is driven by a mechanical automatic movement equipped with a flat silicon balance spring, visible through the sapphire crystal on the case back.
