Leica Unveils New Range of Cameras, Binoculars and Accessories at Photokina 2012

At Photokina 2012 in Cologne, Leica was unveiled an exciting new range of cameras and optics products.

Leica M

Retaining its classic design, but featuring advanced technology including Live View and Full HD video capability, plus compatibility with Leica R lenses, this is the most versatile model ever in the history of the Leica rangefinder camera. Available in silver chrome or black paint finish, from early 2013 at £5,100 inc VAT.

Leica M-E

Completing the Leica M family, the M-E offers exceptional image quality combined with the distinct advantages of rangefinder photography, and a minimal, discreet design in anthracite grey. Available from September 2012 at £3,900 inc VAT.

X2 Edition Paul Smith

The Leica X2 »Edition Paul Smith« combines high performance digital technology with extravagant styling from the world of fashion. This special edition in vibrant orange, green and yellow is strictly limited to 1,500 units, and includes a leather case and strap embossed ‘Paul Smith for Leica’. Available from October 2012 at £2,000 inc VAT.

Leica D-Lux 6

Complete creative freedom meets timeless design. This versatile digital camera sets new standards in compact image quality with its newly-designed sensor and lens. Available from November 2012 at £600 inc VAT.

Leica V-Lux 4

A superzoom digital camera that combines high performance, outstanding image quality and speed in a compact format – ideal for travel, sports or outdoor wildlife photography. Available from November 2012 at £690 inc VAT.

Leica X2 a la carte programme

The ultimate bespoke style statement. A multitude of customisation options for Leica’s successful X2 digital camera, including dozens of colours and textured leathers, plus personalised engraving. Available from October 2012, prices starting at £1,710 inc VAT.

Leica S and new range of lenses

The new Leica S offers a further increase in image quality and sensor sensitivity, predictive autofocus, higher speed and enhanced handling. New lenses: Leica Super-Elmar-S 24mm f/3.5 ASPH. super-wide, Leica Vario-Elmar-S 30-90mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH. zoom and Leica TS-APO-Elmar-S 120mm f/5.6 ASPH. tilt/shift. – and the new Elpro-S 180 close-up lens for the Leica APO-Elmar-S 180mm f/3.5.

Leica Ultravid 8×20 and 10×25 Edition compact binoculars
