One of the most well known Gin brands distributed by Bacardi, Bombay Sapphire, has now been given an all new stunning presentation pack by the master of packaging, Webb deVlam, providing the exquisite drink with a handcrafted bottle, presentation case and a booklet, that epitomizes the limited edition facet as well as the importance of Bombay Sapphire.
Webb deVlam, one of the biggest names in the field of packaging designs for value-added branded consumer goods, pharmaceutical products and medical products, has created a hand-blown limited edition bottle to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the invention of Bombay Sapphire Gin.
The project took 12 months to complete and the luxurious packaging flaunts a bottle inside a bottle effect. They have also used a laser etching process to create 3D images of the 10 botanicals and the Queen Victoria brand mark, which seem to be floating in the inner glass walls. What is more, since each bottle is hand crafted, it is different from the other.
The stopper was designed by jeweller Garrard under the direction of creative director Stephen Webster and is also made of fine crystal It is in the shape of a crown and hand set with a band of blue crystals around the neck. To further enhance the exquisite nature of the Bombay Sapphire presentation pack, Webb deVlam has also designed a beautiful gift booklet, that will serve as an authentication of the originality of Bombay Sapphire and the booklet also carries the details of design and development process of the entire packaging.
Only 350 bottles, handcrafted in high quality crystal and set with crystal stones, will be offered for sale in a custom-made gift box. The Limited Edition Bombay Sapphire Gin prestige pack will retail for £1,250 (about $2,000)and be available for sale through luxury retail outlets in the UK, Europe, and US before Christmas 2010 with a further limited worldwide distribution in 2011.
