World-famous beauty icon, Grace Kelly has inspired Barbie Doll maker Mattel to create 3 limited edition Grace Kelly Barbie Dolls (about Mattel and his Farrah Fawcett Barbie Doll we wrote few days ago). That will certainly most delight barbie collectors, especially fans of Grace Kelly. All three limited edition dolls named To Catch a Thief Barbie, Grace Kelly Bride Barbie and Grace Kelly Romance Barbie have been recreated to capture every detail.

To Catch a Thief Barbie

The doll will be wearing a sky-blue gown inspired by the opening scene of To Catch a Thief, set in the French Riviera. This dress truly captures Grace’s elegant style. The doll has a chiffon scarf around its neck and is complimented with a matching clutch purse. The hair represents the original Grace as it is done in an upswept chignon. It is available from June 2011, and costs $34.95.

Grace Kelly Bride Barbie

This Grace Kelly bride doll wears a long sleeved lace gown the same way as Princess Grace when she married Prince Rainier III in 1956. To complete the look, the company has adorned the doll with a delicate headpiece and veil, and holds a bouquet of white flowers, and also has a prayer book just like Kelly had during her wedding. The doll is available from August 2011 and costs $175.

Grace Kelly Romance Barbie

The Romance doll replicating what Princess Grace was wearing when she met the prince at the Cannes Film Festival in 1955. The doll is wearing  a dress with fabulous floral print which was black in color with a tight bodice and flared full skirt. The look is complimented with a string of pearls. The doll will be available from October this year and will costs $135.

Percentage of the sale of each doll is going to to Princess Grace Foundation-USA that supports the emerging artists in theater, dance and film.
