Louis Moinet Jurassic Tourbillon Watch Contains Fragments of Authentic Fossilized Dinosaur Bones

In the world of luxury timepieces, mixing two unrelated things in one does not always bring out pleasing results, but sometimes, though, they are masterpieces that you just can’t help but love. That’s exactly how I feel about the Louis Moinet Jurassic Tourbillon to be featured at at this year’s Baselworld in Switzerland.

Louis Moinet Jurassic Tourbillon Watch

The Jurassic Tourbillon’s dial contains fragments of authentic fossilized dinosaur bones around 130 million years ago. As well as this reminder of just how long time has been ticking away, the hand-wound watch sports an 18K white gold case with 56 Top Wesselton VVS baguette diamonds (3.46 cts) on the bezel, a tourbillon cage at 6 o’clock and an indicator for the 72 hour power reserve at 12 o’clock.

The watch spots an ‘octopus’ spring with a self-winding mechanism. The chronograph comes with a 72-hour power reserve and has water resistance of 30meters. No price has been announced yet.
