Mahali Mzuri – Richard Branson’s Safari Camp in Kenya

Sir Richard Branson’s, Virgin Limited Edition, a luxury collection of retreats, will add one more property to its portfolio. That is Mahali Mzuri – a luxury Safari Camp  in Swahili, Kenya. Mahali Mzuri will be situated within the Motorogi Conservancy in the Massai Mara ecosystem of Kenya, approximately 150 miles west of Nairobi.

I’m thrilled to be able to announce Mahali Mzuri as the latest addition to the Virgin Limited Edition collection. With such a beautiful and serene setting, Mahali Mzuri will undoubtedly offer a unique African experience like no other and as with all our other properties it too will offer great service and fun in true Virgin style, explained the Virgin Group founder.

Safari Camp will feature 12 sleeper tents able to accommodate 24 guests at any one time. Some of the tents will also be specially designed for families and will be open all year round. It will also feature an infinity pool and ring-side views of wildlife viewing experiences. Visitors will be able to see many of wild animals such as wildebeest, elephants, zebra, lions, leopards, cheetah, giraffe, impala, gazelles, antelope, hippos, warthogs and hyenas.

Mahali Mzuri which means beautiful place in Swahili will be open in 2013. Charges are expected to be $580 per person per night, based on double occupancy. The price includes all meals, drinks and daily game drives. [Virgin Limited Edition]
