The bike with its original factory paint, and 21,000 miles (33,790 km) on its odometer also comes complete with McQueen‘s personal tools which have been found wrapped in a piece of denim cloth in the frame-mounted toolbox. and a certificate of authenticity from the actor’s 1984 estate sale. This price is nothing compared with Steve McQueen’s Ford GT40, used in the 1971 racing classic, Le Mans which was sold at auction for $11 million – making it the most paid for an American car on the auction block.
