So irritating things when buy some home technology? Cables. Well, finally find someone smart enough to design monitor with no hanging cables. Display company AOC and design house Studio F. A. Porsche have unveiled their new collaboration which they are referring to as “two incredible-looking monitors.” Yes, they have teamed up to design new monitor with just a single cable. The monitor comes in two versions — the 24-inch PDS241 and 27-inch PDS271. Both have an almost frameless panel, an asymmetrical design, and no hanging cables. Each is a full HD, 1080p panel with a 5ms response time.

AOC and Porsche get worked up about their design work in a press release. Here’s a sample of what it says: “The design philosophy behind these monitors was inspired by the principals of Ferdinand Alexander Porsche: His approach was “If you analyze the function of an object, its form often becomes obvious.” In its purest sense, a monitor is just a screen. But the screen is meant to provide a beautiful visual experience, and that experience is often marred by unsightly cables hanging down from the monitor’s ports.”
Both displays are available now at Amazon, priced at $199 for the 24-inch model and $249 for the 27-inch model. Both are listed as “Temporarily out of stock” for the moment, but they should be in stock soon and orders can still be placed.
