Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas announced plans to open its first resort in Switzerland.
The 47-room Six Senses Crans-Montana will be in one of the region’s most popular ski areas. Located in the canton of Valais, Geneva is located two hours away by car and train.
Resort accommodations include both guestrooms and suites, with 17 residential units already available for purchase. The units include three-bedroom lofts and four-bedroom configurations. There are special Crans-Montana provisions that allow 13 of them to be bought by foreigners as second homes. This is one of the last construction projects in Switzerland that is able to sell residences to foreigners.

Two restaurants are planned as well as a sun terrace and bar and retail space. Wellness offerings at the resort include a 22,000 square foot (2,000 square meter) spa specializing in alpine treatments, gym and fitness studio, pool and suspended relaxation area. The spa will also include a dedicated area for children and teen treatments.
Keeping with Six Senses’ sustainability focus, the building will use recycled, local materials in the flooring, millwork, and fabrics. Energy and water conservation will also be taken into account in the design. Black and grey water systems will be added to the infrastructure to ensure that wastewater is not unused, but salvaged within the building operations. Rainwater will also be collected for treatment and use.
Six Senses Crans-Montana will offer ski-in and ski-out access and is slated to open in 2020.
