British rocker Sting is asking $56 million for his two-story penthouse at Manhattan’s 15 Central Park West. The musician’s penthouse has been called an “architectural tour de force” by Sotheby’s. Penthouse takes up the 16th and 17th floors and offers spectacular city views from grand windows and a fabulous heated terrace. Spanning 5,417 sq. ft. of impeccably finished living space, the penthouse is expertly configured into a three-bedroom unit with a home office that can be converted into a fourth bedroom.

Step inside to a dramatic foyer gallery with a sculptural winding staircase where awaits a beautifully-proportioned living room lined with floor-to-ceiling glass overlooking the park and leading out to the sprawling terrace. A distinctive open fireplace divides the living room with the sitting area complete with built-in bookshelves. A quiet library nearby offers built-in bookshelf walls. Across the home is an elegant dining room and sleek designer chef’s kitchen with top-of-the-line everything.
The second floor has a separate entrance off the elevator and hers and hers dressing rooms, along with magnificent dual spa baths.

The limestone-clad building at 15 Central Park West has a slew of amenities to boot, including a full white-glove building staff, landscaped motor court and parking garage, screening room, private restaurant, gigantic fitness center and a 75-foot sky-lit lap pool.
Sting and his wife Trudie bought this duplex for around $27 million in 2008.
