Kathryn Wilson, New Zealand’s most successful footwear designer, has teamed up with Sarah Hutchings of Orsini Fine Jewellery to create the world’s most expensive shoes. Priced at £276,000 ($420,000) this magnificent shoes are adorned with 21.18 carats of white diamonds, lace and embellishment.
Wilson attached the stones in a painstaking process using tweezers and special glue. The whole process took more than 50 hours to apply.
Kathryn Wilson’s Diamond Shoe
Simply called ‘the Diamond shoe’, this gorgeous pair is pecially made for Ronald McDonald House children’s charity auction, for which Wilson is an ambassador.
Wilson and Hurchings wanted to create a shoe that signified the ultimate in designer luxury and embodied the ‘Cinderella’ fantasy. So, Christian Louboutin’s Cinderella’s glass slipper won a fierce competitor.
