Jean Paul Gaultier has just launched Junior Gaultier Couture, outgrowth of his children’s clothing line Junior Gaultier, which he started back in 2009. During his Spring 2013 couture fashion show, four kids popped out from under a model’s dress wearing long gowns. Those gowns are actually part of this new kids’ line for Spring/Summer 2014, which are inspired by Gaultier’s Indian-themed Spring 2013 Haute Couture collection for (grown-up) women.
The dress is made from a raw silk bodice and a long layered skirt in tulle, while the finishing touch is a bolero that buttons in the back and is accented with Swarovski crystals. Priced around $1200, a silk-and-tulle princess dress comes in two shades: ivory and padparadscha. Limited to only 90 pieces of each shade, those gowns will go on sale in the next couple of months.
La Perla Valentine’s Day Lingerie Collection
For the most romantic day of the year, La Perla has thought up something very special. Every Valentines Day order will be shipped with the La Perla Black Label CD. Furthermore, La Perla wraps every present in exclusive gift paper along with a personalized Valentine’s Day card. The La Perla Black Label CD is a compilation of electronic music with Oriental appeal. The producer Danilo Venturi has collected works of 14 distinctive artists to seduce listeners with romantic Valentine’s Day soundscapes.
This luxurious and fashionable Italian lingerie brand, as we reported last September, teamed up with famous French designer Jean Paul Gaultier on a vintage-inspired capsule collection for the fashion-forward. Prices for the limited edition range from $600 – $1,200.
Jean Paul Gaultier for La Perla – Handmade Lingerie
For all you women out there who like to experiment with their lingerie, there is a good news. The long awaited Jean Paul Gaultier for La Perla lingerie collection is set to hit the stores in November. The new line will comprise 27, styles, nearly all handmade, including a waist-cinching corset and bra inspired by the cone bra that the designer created for Madonna in the Nineties.
Leading the way, two special limited edition garments will be shown on the 7th of July in Paris, during the Jean Paul Gaultier Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 Haute Couture show: a backstitch satin bra with a shoulder-strap motif and glove-holding strings and a suspender belt, strategically stitched to round off the silhouette in an irresistible way.
