Triumph’s Swarovski Studded CorsetTriumph, renowned lingerie brand celebrates its 125th anniversary presenting a Black Corset adorned with thousands of red Swarovski Crystals that took 100 man hours to make. Swarovski-studded corset, worth $12,500, was the finale piece for the Triumph’s Passage of Dreams show at the Audi Fashion Festival 2011 (AFF).
Triumph has brought a few historical pieces of undergarments from as early as 1890, to commemorate 125th anniversary at the Singapore show. One more superb piece of that evening was corset adorned with delicious looking candy, marshmallows and chewy gummy bears. It is to see all the progress in the fashion and the engineering as well as the technology behind garments, from where we came, to how garments look today. It’s a totally different thing, said Harald Hinderberger, Triumph International’s head of brand management in Asia.
Michael Jackson’s “Bad” Album Cover Worn Gloves and “Triumph” Tour Crystal Studded Riding Helmet
This incredible Swarovski lochrosen stone crystal studded black velvet Riding Helmet was worn by Michael Jackson during his 1981 “Triumph” tour. Custom-made for MJ, the helmet bears the Pop King’s name printed on a 2. 1.5 tag sewed on the inside with stage make-up residue still on that label. Two more labels identify the hat as an authentic riding helmet, one which gives the size “7” and “57” along with instruction on how to wear the hat as well as another one which gives detailed warnings about horseback riding.
Though the helmet has a few of the many stones missing, it still stunning to look at. The helmet is expected to net between $18,000 to $22,000. [Gotta Have Rock and Roll]
Limited Edition TAG Heuer Steve McQueen Motorcycle Helmet
In November 2009 we wrote about Triumph and TAG Heuer one-of-a-kind Bonneville Heuer motorcycle inspired by Steve McQueen and the Porsche 917k that the famous actor, racecar driver and motorcycle rider piloted in the classic film Le Mans. Unfortunately the super-cool bike was never offered for sale. Steve McQueen was king of cool in the 60s and early 70s, thanks to performances in films like The Great Escape, Bullitt, The Thomas Crown Affair and the above-mentioned Le Mans.
Now TAG Heuer is tapping into that cool with a Limited Edition TAG Heuer Steve McQueen Motorcycle Helmet, also inspired by the King of Cool, who wore a Heuer Monaco watch in the movie. The retro-styled fiberglass helmet, which features a racing stripe matching the colors on McQueen’s driving gear, vintage Heuer logo, steel hardware and leather trim, is priced at about $650.
British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph and Swiss watch manufacturer TAG Heuer have collaborated to create a special, one-of-a-kind “Bonneville Heuer” Triumph motorcycle. Inspired by Steve McQueen and the Porsche 917k that the famous actor, racecar driver and motorcycle rider piloted in the classic film Le Mans, the Bonneville Heuer is painted up in the classic Gulf Oil blue and orange scheme and will be used for promotional purposes.
