The Whiteface Lodge, the vision of a former Olympian and developer is completed in 2005. The Whiteface Lodge is the first resort in the Northeast with a private residence club, with 85 suites. In each guest room, Adirondack hardwood furnishings and hand-forged accents are accompanied by splendid amenities, from jetted tubs and pillow-top beds to cast iron gas fireplaces (majority) and LCD televisions. Also, there is fully-equipped kitchens with custom Alder cabinetry and granite counters.

Guests can relax in Whiteface Lodge Lake Placid Spa. This intimate, 5,800-square-foot mountain spa hideaway blends the rustic beauty of its setting with a classic Zen ambiance. From the Maple Butter Massages to the signature Whiteface Peak Facial, the spa’s luxurious treatments are inspired by the comfort evoked by the mountain environment and the healing benefits of indigenous ingredients.

During the summer months at Kamp Kanu, a day camp for guests between three and 14 years old, children can enjoy playing outdoors and creating artwork through crafts and activities. Each participant is lead by highly qualified and trained counselors through experiments, games and more.

Other amenities include: bowling, ice skating, swimming in year-round heated indoor-outdoor swimming pool. Guests can visit the Canoe Club exclusive private beach with access to canoes, kayaks, volleyball badminton, croquet, bocce ball, horseshoes, and ping pong. Whiteface Lodge is the only luxury resort in the region to offer private jet service to guests and members, as well as charter plane transportation to and from all major and regional airports directly into Lake Placid.
