Two 60-year-old Macallan Whiskeys Expected To Fetch $500,000 At Auction

Two rare bottles of Macallan Whiskey, both 60-year old are expected to sell for up to HK$4.6m/US$586,000) when hit the auction block in Hong Kong next month. It is about Macallan Peter Blake 1926 60-Year-Old as well as the the Macallan Valerio Adami 1926 60-Year-Old. The bottles feature labels by Pop Art figures Peter Blake and Valerio Adami and were last auctioned in the 1980s.

Only 24 bottles were produced and both bottles in the sale are housed in ‘tantalus’ cabinets that were specially commissioned and inspired by traditional distillery safes.
These coveted whiskies will be auction off at Bonhams on May 18 where they will be joined by other fine wines and spirits.
