U.S. Ambassador to Denmark Carla Sands has listed her villa in Bel-Air for sale at $37 million. Vintage Capital Group executive and major donor to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign built it with her late husband, real estate impresario Fred Sands, in 2002. He died in 2015.
The 14,700 square feet classic Italian-style home sits behind gates on four acres in the Moraga Estates community and features soaring ceilings and curved archways and windows.
The home includes four bedrooms, nine bathrooms, formal living and dining rooms and an office/library with a fireplace and a bar.
The manicured gardens and sprawling grounds contain a swimming pool, outdoor lounging spaces and a loggia for al fresco dining.
A 10-car motor court can also be found on the site, as well as two guest houses.
Carla and Fred purchased the site through a trust in 1999. They paid just over $4 million for the property, records show. Oil tycoon Howard B. Keck had an estate on the same property up until 1979.
