A spacious nearly 22,000 square foot mansion along one of the most sought after streets in Vancouver’s posh Point Grey neighbourhood has hit the market for $63-million, breaking records for Vancouver’s real estate and making it the second most expensive offering in all of Canada right behind Ontario’s Chelster Hall. Built on a very private 1.28-acre estate complete with formal French gardens inspired by Versailles and extensive terraced landscaping, the 22,000 square foot mansion is perched high above Spanish Banks and takes in views across the Strait of Georgia, English Bay, Downtown Vancouver, and the North Shore Mountains beyond.

Inside you’ll find 5 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, an elevator, 2 main gallery halls capable of hosting up to 100 guests, an indoor pool, and six-car garage. “I believe the buyer of this home will have a passion for art, history luxurious landscapes and timeless design,” said listing agent Christa Frosch. The property also comes complete with over 12,000 tulips, daffodils and hyacinths, as well as magnolia, lilacs and rhododendrons, making it the perfect private park.
It belongs to self-made Vancouver billionaire Joe Segal and his wife Rosalie, and according to CBC News, at age 92 he and his wife have decided to offload the property.
