If you’ve ever stood in front of a piece that was created by Damien Hirst and wondered what is actually happening in his head, today is the day you can find out.
A contemporary British artist, known for his sensational, often controversial works such as human skulls decorated with diamonds, has just presented his Empathy suite, an ultra-luxurious accommodation that was added to the Sky Villas collection in Las Vegas’ The Palms Casino Resort.

Whoever is familiar with Hirst’s work can imagine the details here: medical cabinets full of pills, butterfly kaleidoscopes and dead animals – all this is placed in an apartment measuring about 900 square meters, officially debuting today. Since the apartment is in Vegas, it’s incredibly decadent.
Winner / Loser, a pair of sharks in a tank filled with formaldehyde, is located in the living room wall.

A medical cabinet named Vegas is decorated with diamonds and will greet you right at the entrance, while the ten panels with a glorious butterfly motif will delight anyone.
Nevertheless, Hirst not only inserted several pieces of his art and finished the story – he chose each material, designed each piece of furniture and devised every little detail, up to the carpet and curtain. The butterfly pattern is also present on the terrace that contains an infinity pool, as well as in the bathroom, which is characterized by Venus Gray marble.

The rounded 13-seater bar is packed with medical waste, and is accentuated with cabinets featuring a skeleton of marlin and a stuffed marlin, while there are also sofas lined with Italian leather, which are draped over again with a motif of butterflies. There is a billiard, a private cinema and a private salt room, two massage rooms and a private fitness center.
