World’s First Finger Camera – Air Clicker

You want to take the photo without camera, just using your fingers – it’s possible! Appropriately called Air Clicker,  new concept designed by Yeon Su Kim will allow you to use nothing more than your hands to capture images. This world’s first finger camera consists of two modules: the first fits on your thumb, the other on your forefinger, the thumb piece having an on/off button and a camera lens, the forefinger piece having tension-sensing silicon.

Operating principle is simple. Making certain hand gestures and connecting to your smartphone via Bluetooth, you send photos to your handset. Precious moments are captured with a simple click gesture and the images get transferred to your synced smartphone immediately. If you want to make videos, simply bow your fingers to emulate the video camera clasp and shoot away. The tension from the finger movement triggers the shutter button to operate.

None of this would have been possible without smartphones. Although we don’t have enough information about the device’s battery lifespan or memory space, Air Click will certeinly find its way to some consumers, due to its simplicity of use. But, I’m a bit sceptical, will this concept turn into something we can actually use?
