Although three years have passed since the King of Pop died, interests for his memorabilia doesn’t stop. Last year, Michael Jackson’s Thriller jacket was sold for $1.8 million at Julien’s auction and few months ago, we wrote about sale of his $23.9 million lavish Los Angeles mansion, where he lived and died. This time it is about Michael Jackson’s trademark military-style jacket that will be offered at Bonhams. This jacket will be one of the highlights of almost 40 lots related to Jackson that will be auctioned as part of the Knightsbride forthcoming Entertainment Memorabilia sale held by Bonhams on 3rd July 2012.
Dated back from September 20th 2005, custom-made jacket (black matching quilted lining, gold braid edging and epaulettes, red collar and cuffs), tailored by Dege & Skinner Savile Row, also features original label inside pocket typewritten with Michael Jackson’s name. Further Jackson was even photographed wearing an identical jacket during his meeting with the King of Bahrain in year 2005. The jacket will be offered with a pre-sale estimate of £8,000 – £12,000 ($12,000 – $19,000).
Other memorabilia pieces available include: Jackson’s trademark fedora hats (one black fedora hat and one white fedora hat); an unusual pair of casts of Michael Jackson’s hands; a pair of Aviator-style sunglasses; a Roberto Cavalli belt and overcoat; and several original Roberto Cavalli signed costume sketches of Michael Jackson.

We are delighted to offer such a varied collection of material in our forthcoming sale, including numerous pieces from Michael’s personal wardrobe, never before seen at auction,” Katherine Williams, Bonhams Senior Entertainment Specialist said.
