Frankenstein Insert Movie Poster Sold For $262,900

Rare Frankenstein movie poster of which we previously wrote, that could fetch $100,000 on Heritage Auction, broke the record with the achieved price of $262,900. Totally different from a conventional poster, this poster is printed on card stock and designed in a manner that it can be inserted in the display cases in movie theaters. It measure up to 14 inches in width and 36 inches in height and it has been confirmed that this is the only insert poster for the seminal Universal Pictures release still in existence.

The Heritage Auctions accumulated more than $1.86 million from its sale this weekend, which included movie posters from The Three Stooges, The Adventures of Robin Hood, Gold Diggers, 1934 classic The Thin Man, The Wizard of Oz and many more.
