Luxury department store Selfridges has unveiled the world’s first luxury fashion drive-thru shop. Located at the back of Selfridges’ famous Oxford Street store in London, the high-end drive-thru – a click-and-collect service offers to customers a range of luxury goods from Chanel handbags to Gucci sunglasses. A click means, the customers can purchase products at their leisure online at Selfridges.com (you can even order on your smartphone en route) and then just to collect them when it fits their schedules. You don’t even have to leave comfort of your car, since members of staff will bring purchases directly to your legs.
Selfridges has plans to launch other services such as a text-messaging service that ensures deliveries are only made to someone when they are at home to receive them.
