Surprise On The Geneva Motor Show Is McLaren 650S Spider

McLaren has presented, at the Geneva Motor Show, their new sporty model called the 650S, but beside Coupé (whose pictures were published earlier) as a surprise, they display Spider edition which we expected later. The new McLaren is based on a model MP4- 12C, and is powered by a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine (mated to a seven-speed SSG transmission), which in accordance with the name of the car has 650Hp and 678 Nm of torque.

McLaren 650S Spider accelerates to 60mph for 3.0 seconds to 124mph in 8.6 seconds, and can achieve a maximum speed of 204mph. 650S Spider with a 1370 kg is just 40 kg heavier than the Coupé, and its hard top roof opens or closes in 17 seconds at speeds up to 19mph. The car has a new color, Tarocco Orange, and the wheels of 19 and 20 inches (tires Pirelli P Zero Corsa 235/35 R19 and 305/30 R20). Price for McLaren 650S Coupe is 195 250 pounds($269,000), while the Spider version will have a price of 215.250 pounds($296,500). In the development of McLaren 650 has participated Jenson Button, and compared to the standard 12C 650S, the car received changes concerning reliance, aerodynamics, brakes, transmissions and tires.
